Terms and Conditions

Effective January 1, 2026

J&M College Station Concrete & Masonry, collegestationconcreteandmasonry.com, service@collegestationconcreteandmasonry.com

Agreeing to these terms

These terms cover your use of this website and the estimates and work you get from J&M College Station Concrete & Masonry. When you browse our home page or any other page here, ask for an estimate, or hire us, you agree to them, so please read them before you do.

If you sign a written estimate, proposal or contract with us, that document controls wherever it differs from this page. These terms fill in anything your written agreement doesn't cover.

What we do

We're a masonry contractor in College Station, TX, and we also do concrete work. We build and repair brick, block and stone work, pavers, walkways, retaining walls, chimneys, fireplaces and foundations for homeowners in College Station and the cities around it. You can read more about our crew and how we work on our About page.

What you read on this site is general information about the trade and how we usually handle a job. It isn't advice about your property, because every house, wall and patch of ground is different. Your own job is defined by what we see in person and put in writing.

Estimates and pricing

Our estimates are free, done in person and obligation-free. An estimate is based on what we can see and measure the day we come out, and it holds for the time written on it. After that we may need to update it, because material prices change.

Masonry and concrete jobs sometimes turn up things nobody could see beforehand, like rotted framing behind brick, a cracked footing or soft soil under an old slab. If that happens, we stop, show you what we found and explain what it changes before we do any added work. We only go ahead with extra work and extra cost after you approve it, in writing or in a message we can both refer back to.

Scheduling, weather and cancellation

The start and finish dates we give you are our honest targets, not guarantees. Rain, extreme heat or cold, material deliveries, inspections and the time mortar and concrete need to cure can all move a schedule, and we won't rush a pour or a wall to hit a date if it would hurt the work. We'll keep you posted whenever the schedule shifts.

You can cancel or reschedule by calling us at (979) 393-7020 or reaching us through our Contact page. Tell us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered special materials or started work, you'll owe for the work already done and any materials we can't return, unless your written agreement says otherwise.

Your part of the job

You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, keep pets and children clear while we work, and let us use water and power on site when the job needs them. Please tell us about anything buried or hidden that we should know about, such as sprinkler lines, private gas or electric lines, septic systems or drainage pipes.

Some jobs need a permit or HOA approval. Unless your written agreement says we'll handle it, getting those approvals is the property owner's responsibility, and we can't start work that needs one until it's in place.

Payment

Payment terms, including any deposit and when payments are due, are listed in your written estimate or agreement. If it doesn't say otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.

If a payment is late, we may pause work until the account is current. We keep every right Texas law gives a contractor to be paid for work done and materials supplied.

Our guarantee and what it doesn't cover

Our work is backed by our satisfaction guarantee. If something we built or repaired isn't right, call us and we'll come look at it. Any specific workmanship warranty, including how long it lasts, is spelled out in your written agreement.

Brick, stone and concrete are natural materials, so some variation in color, texture and shading is normal, and new mortar or concrete may not match old work exactly. Concrete and masonry can also show fine hairline cracks as they cure and as the ground under them moves. Our guarantee doesn't cover damage from soil movement, flooding, storms, tree roots, vehicles heavier than the work was built for, other people's repairs or changes, or a lack of normal upkeep.

Apart from the guarantee and any written warranty we give you, and to the extent the law allows, we make no other promises, express or implied, about our work or about this website. The site and its content are provided as is.

Limits on our liability

To the extent Texas law allows, J&M College Station Concrete & Masonry is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses, such as lost income, lost use of your property or emotional distress, that come from our work or from your use of this website.

If we're found responsible for a loss, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us for the specific work involved. Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Settling a disagreement

If you're unhappy with anything we've done, call us first. Most problems get settled with a conversation and a visit to the site, and we'd much rather fix something than argue about it.

If we can't work it out together within a reasonable time, either of us may suggest mediation with a neutral third party before going to court. Any court case will be brought in the courts serving College Station, Texas, unless the law requires otherwise.

Governing law

These terms, this website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time, and the version posted on this page is the one in effect. Changes apply going forward and don't alter a written agreement you've already signed with us.
